On Friday, Sept. 13, the 10-time Grammy Award-winning artist Justin Timberlake was sentenced guilty to his driving while intoxicated arrest. The arrest happened earlier this year, and the sentencing took place after a deal with the court. On June 18, Timberlake was caught driving under the influence in the Hamptons when he ran past a stop sign and steered out of his lane. Officer Michael Arkinson then caught him. Timberlake was only held overnight in jail and then released after a hearing in court.
As agreed upon by Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Timberlake was sentenced 25 hours of community service, a fine of $100 and a 90-day suspension of his driver’s license in New York State.
Timberlake agreed to fulfill the sentenced community service time along with paying all the given fines.
Timberlake is known for his hit songs, “Sexyback,” ”Mirrors” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling” along with being a part of the hit children’s movie franchise, “Trolls.”
