On Nov. 5, Amendments Two and Five passed in Florida while Amendments One, three, four and six did not. A 60% or majority vote is needed for an amendment to pass.
Amendment One, which would have made school board elections partisan beginning in 2026, did not pass in the state of Florida with a 54.9% vote “yes” and a 45.1% vote “no.”
Amendment Two, which creates a constitutional right to fish and hunt, passed in the state of Florida with a 67.4% vote “yes” and a 32.6% vote “no.”
Amendment Three, which would have legalized the recreational use of marijuana to adults over the age of 21 did not pass in the state of Florida with a 55.9% vote “yes” and a 44.1% vote “no.”
Amendment Four, which would have created a constitutional right to abortion before viability did not pass in the state of Florida with a 57.1% “yes” and a 42.9% vote “no.”
Amendment Five, which will adjust home property tax exemption for inflation passed in the state of Florida with a 66% vote “yes” and a 34% vote “no.”
Amendment Six, which would have repealed public financing for political campaigns, did not pass in the state of Florida with a 50.4% vote “yes” and a 49.6% vote “no.”
