On Oct. 16, former One Direction member Liam Payne was found dead after falling from a third-floor hotel window in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was confirmed dead on the spot.
Payne was reportedly found outside of a hotel on Costa Rica Street in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. His death was reported after being found by local police.
Buenos Aires police said personnel were called to the hotel after a 911 call about an aggressive man seemingly under the influence of unknown substances. Police have not identified the aggressor as Payne.
The hotel manager claimed to have heard a loud sound behind the hotel, and when police arrived, they saw a man had fallen over what they thought was the balcony of his room.
Payne visited Argentina with his partner, Kate Cassidy, for former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert on Oct. 2.
Information concerning the motive of the fall remains unknown.
