On Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, substitute teacher Mr. William H. Watson passed away. The exact cause of death has not been released to faculty, but it was known that he was in the ICU for nine days leading up to his death.
Mr. Watson was born on Feb. 27, 1952. After graduating from Florida State University in 1978 with a degree in Public Administration, Watson worked in the criminal and juvenile justice system. He went on to retire after 30 years of working.
Watson began to substitute teach at Palmetto in 2010, and had been in attendance nearly every day of the week.
Watson leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren, and will be missed by not only his family, but all of the Palmetto family. He was 64 years old.
