Miami Monster Jam 2022
March 8, 2022
On March 12-13, monster truck fans plan to congregate at LoanDepot Park, formerly known as the Miami Marlins Park, for the Monster Truck Jam. Attendees have the opportunity to see their favorite drivers, trucks and crews all in one place.
This high energy event begins with the Pit Party, where ticket holders can view the competing trucks up close, take pictures, watch pre-race interviews and participate in the pre-race festivities. On March 12, the Monster Jam starts at 7:00 PM, meaning the Pit Party begins later in the day at around 2:30 p.m. On the following day, the Pit Party commences at 11:30 a.m. with the race starting at 3:00 p.m.
Doors open after the Pit Party, and attendees have the opportunity to grab food and merchandise before taking their seats to watch the show. Many long-time Monster Jam fans recommend bringing earplugs and sunglasses to help cancel out the noise from the loud engines and irritation from dusty air.
For those who have never attended a Monster Jam event, they take place in three categories: racing, two-wheel skills and freestyle — all based on speed and skill. While racing, trucks compete against each other until two remain. In the skills category, drivers attempt to get at least two wheels into the air. In the freestyle competition, drivers perform tricks and stunts in front of a panel of judges.
Viewers watch in awe as the 12,000 pound, 1,500 horsepower trucks race through the course to qualify for the Monster Jam World Finals. These competitions involve judges, but fans have an opportunity to aid in judging scores as well. Viewers have the opportunity to provide scores from each event at the competition on the Monster Jam mobile app.
Monster Jam recommends wearing face masks in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. Other safety measures like contactless shopping, social distancing and hand sanitizing stations remain available to keep everyone healthy. Attendees must bring a small clutch or clear plastic bag to the event, per the LoanDeport Park’s rules. Although loud trucks may appear scary to some, Monster Truck Jams traditionally foster a family friendly environment. Make sure to purchase your tickets before they sell out to cheer on these daring monster truck drivers.
