From electronic punk to classic pop music, Miami was alive with music throughout October, as several top artists headlined their concerts across the city.
Fans of all music genres were able to venture out and go to music festivals such as III Points, or sing along to iconic hits including “Love Story” at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
This past month brought out fun and excitement for fans lucky enough to see their favorite artists. The lineup for all the concerts in Miami included artists like Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Cloonee and many more.
For Miami Palmetto Senior High senior Sierra Heller, securing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour tickets over a year ago for the Hard Rock Stadium was one of the best experiences, despite her stress.
“It was very exciting. I got the tickets over a year ago, which was chaotic. I joined the queue to get tickets and I was, like, 18,000 in line, so I didn’t think I would actually get tickets,” Heller said.
Seeing the tour for the first time exceeded all Heller’s expectations.
“It was really awesome. She has a great stage presence and it was so crazy that I was like, ‘Wow I am in the same room as Taylor Swift,’ and the show was just amazing,” Heller said.
While Heller had held onto these tickets since the initial presale for the Eras Tour, senior Michaela Thompson enjoyed the rather calm process of buying last-minute tickets for Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s Sweat Tour at the Kaseya Center.
“We bought the tickets super last minute because we were expecting the prices to go down, but we bought them because we wanted to see them anyway, so we were pretty high up in the nosebleeds,” Thompson said.
Despite the high view, Thompson enjoyed the unique style and crowd of the concert.
“I liked the way it was set up. I feel like a lot of people don’t know that it’s not Troye opening up for Charli XCX but it’s a joint tour, so he’ll come out and do, like, two songs and she’ll come out and do the same. I think one of the cooler parts of it too was the [outfits]. Everyone had a cool fit and no one was just wearing a t-shirt and jeans,” Thompson said.
For those who attended any of the shows throughout Miami, the numerous experiences provided fans with unforgettable memories.
