Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her iconic roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl,” has passed away at the age of 39. Her mother discovered the actress unresponsive in her New York City apartment on Feb. 26, around 8 a.m. Authorities have not provided further details, but her recent health struggles, including a liver transplant, may have played a role in her sudden passing. 

Trachtenberg, who portrayed Dawn Summers on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and Georgina Sparks on “Gossip Girl,” became a household name in the early 2000s. Her versatility as an actress and her relatable, compelling characters, both on and off screen, left a lasting impression on fans worldwide.
