Monday, Jan. 13 around 7 a.m., multiple cars crashed on I-95, killing one woman and leaving four lanes of traffic blocked. Expressways northbound were closed off as well until the Cypress Creek Road exit and drivers experienced extreme delays.
To avoid the delays, drivers could have used 441, Federal Highway or Florida’s Turnpike instead or should have gotten on I-95 north of Commercial Boulevard.
Since the accident, the lanes have been reopened. However, heavy delays were experienced throughout the entire day.
The woman who was killed has not yet been identified by authorities. According to one of the people involved in the crash, she was struck by a vehicle after getting out of her car.
