Flixter: Flixter is for all movie addicts. This application will tell you everything you need to know about movies, from where the closest movie theaters are, to what movies are playing and when. The app is also linked to Fandango, so it offers critiques and reviews of the movie as well.
My Fitness Pal: MyFitnessPal is an exercise app that allows for people to monitor what they eatdrink, and how much they exercise. Giving you a certain amount of calories per day, you input what you ate and how much you worked out, and it tells you how close you are to losing the weight you hope to lose.
Spotify: Although commonly used and much-publicized, this app must be included in this list because it is simply one of the best, semi-free music sources. With a wide variety of almost millions of songs, you can listen to whatever you like with a certain amount of skips per hour. If you grow to like the app, you can choose to upgrade to a premium account, wherein you are offered amenities such as unlimited skips and the ability to save music offline, all for $9.99 per month.
Uber: One of the most commonly used apps, Uber works much like a taxi. You order an Uber from any location roadside, and it takes you where you need to go. With a credit card linked to the account, there is no need to pay them after the ride, you simply get in and get out.
Postmates: Postmates is the best app for food delivery. With almost all restaurants available, you order what you want and it is delivered straight to your door. One downside to Postmates is the distance. Depending on how close it is to your house, it may take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes for the food to arrive.
Period Tracker: For all the ladies, period tracker may save your life. With a self- explanatory name, period tracker will tell you when your period is going to start, leaving the unexpectedness aside so you can be fully prepared.
Find Friends: Find Friends is more of an app for personal convenience. With your friends permission, it allows you to track your friends, telling you where they are at all times. Although it may sound a little weird, Find your Friends is useful if you ever need to get to where your friends are.
Waze: Waze is a simple alternative to maps. Waze tells you all the different routes you can take to get where you need to go and where all the traffic is. It will tell you which way to get to avoid traffic and get to your destination as quickly as possible.
