On Oct. 10, a trial date was set for May 5 for popular music artist Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Combs has been arrested on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, and pleads not guilty.
Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ lawyer, has worked to clear Combs’ name since his arrest on Sept. 16, claiming that he is innocent, and that the prosecution against him is unjust.
The charges against Combs allege that throughout his career, he has abused many women with the aid of his associates, and had used blackmail and violence to prohibit his victims from speaking out.
Combs’ lawyers have actively tried, however unsuccessfully, to get him out on bail. If convicted, Combs faces a minimum of 15 years in prison due to the sex trafficking charges, and could face up to life for the racketeering charges.
The 54-year-old musician was seen Oct. 10 in court, accompanied by many members of his family, including his mother and six of his seven children.
