On Tuesday, Jan. 30, President Joe Biden visited the quiet streets of Pinecrest, Fla. to attend the Finance Chair of the Biden Victory Fund and longtime donor, Chris Korge’s fundraiser, hosted in his family home.
Raising over $6 million in a single night, the event featured attendance by multiple south Floridian political faces, including Florida Democratic Chairwoman Nikki Fried, Mayor of Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine-Cava and others, with tickets for the event starting at $3,300, going as high as $250,000.
Hosted off the corner of 104 St. and 67 Ave., Korge announced the record-breaking total during the reception of the event. Starting in Jupiter, Fla. earlier in the day, Biden made his way toward Miami for the evening event.
Despite recent trends showing the state’s right-leaning poll results, the Miami and South Florida area remains a pivotal donor point in the country for both ends of the political spectrum, making it an important stop for the president on his campaign trail throughout 2024.
