On Dec. 16, at a K-12 private Christian school located in Madison, WI, a teacher and teenage student were killed during the shooting that took place just before 11 a.m..
Six other students were severely injured, and the suspect in the case has also been found dead. The suspect is said to be a teenager at the school who used a handgun. Motive is not yet found.
Of the six injured students, two are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, while the other four suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Further data concluded that the shooting took place in a confined space, but Madison Police Chief Shon Barnesare is not sure whether it was in a classroom or hallway.
Officials are working to reunite students with their parents. About 390 students from kindergarten through 12th grade attend the school. The White House said in a statement that President Joe Biden has been briefed on the shooting.
